Airbourne Art 2006
Eastbourne is flying high this summer and going all �arty� with local schoolchildren being given the chance to win an exciting helicopter ride at this years Airbourne.

Eastbourne is flying high this summer and going all �arty� with local schoolchildren being given the chance to win an exciting helicopter ride at this years Airbourne.

Eastbournes Hospitality Association, as one of the major sponsors of Airbourne 2006, is launching a brand new competition called �Airbourne Art�.

Children aged from 5 to 15 years are being encouraged to paint or draw an Airbourne Poster depicting their favourite plane or scene from the event.

All entries will be displayed in local Hotels, Guesthouses, Restaurants and Attractions, around the town, during July and August for all to see.

Everyone will be asked to vote on the best in each establishment and the finalists will be judged on Thursday 17th August, at 4pm, on the Western Lawns near the static display of the gigantic Typhoon plane.

Chairman of the EHA, Ian Millar, says� we will be writing to all schools in the area asking them to take part. We have managed to secure 4 helicopter flights and these will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd prize winner in each age category The winners, in the age groups 5 to 11 and 11 to 15 years will also get to meet some of the pilots from Airbourne.�

Competition entries will need to be received by Friday 30th June at Eastbourne Hospitality Association, Kestrel House, Marine Road, Eastbourne BN22 7AU. All schools will be notified which establishment will be showing off their Airbourne Art entries.
