Tennis Tickets on Sale for New AEGON International
Tennis fans across the world can now snap up tickets for this years brand new AEGON International, a combined mens and womens tennis tournament, as the Box Office opens for general sale from Thursday 5 March.
Thousands of eager spectators have already been taking advantage of early booking as tickets went on sale to previous customers from 12 February. The Box Office opens to new customers from 5 March and keen spectators are being encouraged to book their tickets fast to ensure they get in on the action when men play alongside women for the first time at Devonshire Park in the popular pre-Wimbledon event.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said The tennis this year is set to be a highlight of Eastbournes summer and Im delighted that tickets are now on sale. Im sure therell be a huge take up with fans from all over the world wanting to guarantee their place at the AEGON International. The brand new tournament is set to be a major sporting event not just in Eastbourne and the UK, but also internationally.

Boosted by the news last April that the men and womens grass court tournaments were to be merged and both held in Eastbourne, the seaside resort is excited to be at the forefront of a major reshape of British tennis.

The brand new tennis tournament being played from 13-20 June will see male players playing alongside women in the first ever combined pre-Wimbledon event.

With leading life assurance and pensions company AEGON announced as the Lead Partner of British tennis, spectators can look forward to an action-packed week in June.

Eastbourne has previously hosted the International Womens Open since 1975 and is thrilled to be working alongside the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as it is joined by the mens event previously held in Nottingham.

With two of the highest calibre international grass court events both being played at Devonshire Park within the same week, tennis fans are being encouraged to book their tickets early to guarantee they get a piece of the court-side action.

Tickets are on sale from 5 March from the Box Office on 01323 412000.
