Free parking on seafront for visitors to Airbourne
VISITORS to this year's Airbourne will once again be able to park on the town's seafront for free
East Sussex County Council has decided to relax parking charges during the event, which runs from August 12-15.
Drivers will not have to pay to park on the seafront between Carlisle Road and Cambridge Road, but controls will remain in place along the seafront for double yellow lines, loading, coach and disabled bays and the rest of the town to ensure Eastbourne's traders can continue to do business.

Councillor Matthew Lock, East Sussex County Council's Lead Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, said, "After piloting this successfully last year we have decided to suspend parking charges again for this year's Airbourne.

"Thousands of people are expected to visit Eastbourne and we wish the event every success. We would ask that people walk into town, use public transport or the park and ride scheme where possible as this will really help to ease congestion and the anticipated high demand for parking spaces during the event."
