The turning point came in the 63rd minute when Hastings were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of home defender Kevin Rose who received a second yellow card for a reckless challenge on Matt Crabb. Two minutes later Ramsay had broken the deadlock and by the final whistle, a rampant Borough had hit three more without reply. "The boy getting sent off helped, but we were starting to edge it anyway," said Wilson afterwards. "And sometimes it can be harder to play against 10 men.
