TWO LOCAL SCHOOLS FLY HIGH WITH AIRBOURNE ART
Two local schools dominated this years Airbourne Art competition at the International Air show.
Two local schools dominated this years Airbourne Art competition at the International Air show.

Airbourne Art was launched in 2006 by The Eastbourne Hospitality Association to encourage local schoolchildren to get involved with the airshow and to inspire their artwork.

For the second year running hundreds took part with all the paintings, drawings and posters going on display during August in local Hotels and Guesthouses.

All four winners this year came from just two schools.
In the Over 11 age group Biswajit Deb, also a winner last year and Grace Jack both came from Bishop Bell Senior School. In the Under 11 age category the winners were Jack Foley and Holly Batchelor from Willingdon School.

All the winners received certificates from Eastbournes Tourism Manager Annie Wills and also won helicopter rides.

Other schools taking part included Motcombe Junior School, Ocklynge, and St Johns Meads Primary School.

The EHA wants to expand the competition next year to include a Best Classroom category. The winning class will get a day out together at Eastbournes family attraction Fort Fun. Owner Louise Manning says were keen to support Airbourne Art and itll be fun to host all the winners and their families next year
