Rocky Horror Debut at Eastbourne Bandstand
Eastbourne Bandstand plays stage to a very special Tribute concert this Friday as Rocky Horror and Meatloaf bring the venue alive with their unique rock sounds.
The first ever Rocky Horror tribute at Eastbourne Bandstand will see audiences enjoying all the hits such as Damn It, Janet, Sweet Transvestite and the famous Time Warp. Plus Meatloaf will make an appearance with his classics, including Bat out of Hell, Paradise by the Dashboard Light and You Took the Words Right out of my Mouth. With Meatloaf well known for his role in the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie, audiences can look forward to a spectacular concert combining horror with a great stage performance.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said The Bandstand really has seen a fantastic range of concerts this year with something for everyone and this week promises to be no different. The Rocky Horror concert is something truly unique for Eastbourne Bandstand and is an example of what a brilliant and versatile venue it is. From hosting traditional military concerts all week to staging an edgy tribute concert this Friday, Eastbourne is proud of its unique seafront venue and boasts the only fully operational Bandstand in the country.

This week audiences can enjoy military concerts every afternoon as the Band of the Guards Association perform traditional tunes every weekday, with Wednesday and Thursday enjoying a double dose of the Bands performances.

The skies over Eastbourne seafront burst into colour on Wednesday as the famous soundtrack of Tchaikovskys 1812 overture provides a fitting finale for the breathtaking Wednesday night concerts at Eastbourne Bandstand. This week, the Band of the Guards Association plays on into the evening continuing a tradition thats been around in Eastbourne for more than 25 years.

And on Thursday the Band provide the soundtrack to the Big Band evening taking audiences back to the memorable sounds of the Swing era.

This weekend, Eastbourne Bandstand hosts three local bands, with Second Wind Concert Band playing at Afternoon on Broadway on Saturday afternoon. Theyll bring the Bandstand to life with sing-along renditions of all the big West End and Broadway stage songs.

Plus regular performers at Eastbourne Bandstand, the towns Silver Band are back on Sunday afternoon and Mid Sussex Brass Band performs for the traditional Proms concert on Sunday evening.
