Host of festival events to be staged at centre
THE LEAF Hall Community Arts Centre will be hosting a number of events during the Eastbourne Festival, which gets underway next month.
There will be artists� exhibitions by Tania Long, Suesie Smith and Clive Weaver, an International Brigade Exhibition, a Bee Experience and a talk on natural bee keeping � all of which are free to enter.

Every Wednesday during the festival there will be Creative Taster Workshops.

The cost is �15 per person and there are limited spaces so bookings need to be made by calling Tania on 430538.

On Saturday April 30 there will be a children�s Jewellery Workshop and on Sunday May 1 a May Day Craft Fair takes place.

On Wednesday May 4, the centre will host a Family Games Night followed by an Open Floor Talent Night on Saturday May 7 when people can share their talent. Tickets are �3.50 on the door.

A performance of The Serpent King�s Daughter, by the Guesthouse Storytellers, will take place on Sunday May 8.

The following weekend there will be a Free Spirit Dance, a journey inspired by the Five Rhythms, on Saturday night.

The following night, Sunday May 15 from 3pm - 4pm there will be a closing ceremony with high energy African drumming from the Tricky Beats and the Rhythmfire Drummers. Admission is free.

The Leaf Hall Cafe will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the festival serving fresh home cooked food including dishes for vegetarians, vegans as well as dairy or wheat free options.

Also, during the Festival the winning entry of the logo competition will be announced and the new sign erected outside on the front of the building.
