Eastbourne Conjures Up Some Christmas Magic
Eastbourne is set for a sprinkling of Christmas Magic this year with a series of traditional festive events in the town centre.
Starting on Saturday 4 December, �Eastbourne Christmas Magic� begins with the launch of pantomime Dick Whittington ending with a stunning fireworks display.

Street entertainment and music will entertain shoppers from 3.30pm in Terminus Road precinct before the pantomime stars arrive in true celebrity style at 5.30pm courtesy of Lee�s Limousines. Joining the fun on stage, the stars will then start the countdown to the fireworks, courtesy of Frontier Fireworks and Beckett Newspapers.

Children can also enjoy some real Christmas magic on Sunday 12th December as real reindeer from the Scottish Cairngorms, bring Santa and his sleigh into Eastbourne at 2.30pm to meet the crowds.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin said �Eastbourne Christmas Magic has taken on a much more traditional and family orientated feel this year with real reindeer and classic Christmas pantomime fun. With plenty of special offers in shops and restaurants too, there are even more reasons to visit the town centre this Christmas.�

Also from 4th December, younger shoppers can take a stroll along the Dick Whittington Trail, as shops and businesses throughout the town centre decorate their window displays in a Dick Whittington theme. With special clues along the way, the streets could be paved with gold for the lucky winners with great prizes at the end.

For even more prizes and pantomime fun, youngsters can also visit the website on www.eastbourne.gov.uk/christmasmagic and visit the kids pages for lots of fun learning, puzzles and �1,000 of prizes.

Organised by a partnership of Eastbourne Borough Council, hotels and the business community, leaflets produced by sponsor Kall Kwik will soon be hitting the town with special offers, or look out for the Eastbourne Christmas Magic signs in shop windows and businesses throughout the town.

Chairman of the Eastbourne Hotels� Association, Peter Hawley said �This really is a very well put together Christmas promotion. We are always looking for ways to fill our Hotels prior to the busy Xmas holiday and a good value short break with shopping and entertainment is ideal.�
