Hampden Park

Hampden Park is a large inland park with mixed deciduous and coniferous woodland. New Oak, Beech and Conifer lawns were planted in 1999, funded by public donations, to continue the replacement of trees destroyed in the 1987 hurricane. Hampden Park also features a lake populated with ducks and swans and a large grassland area for leisure activities.

In the Spring Hampden Park is decorated with sweeping drifts of daffodils, croci, and bluebells and there are also year round displays such as the new fernery beside the lake’s waterfall.

Sports facilities at Hampden Park include tennis courts, football and cricket pitches available for hire. Call 01323 415465 for more details or email [email protected].
